About the filmmaker:
Jacques Audiard is a revered French film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is the son of Michel Audiard, also a film director and screenwriter. As of 2024, six of his films competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival: A Self-Made Hero (1996), A Prophet (2009), Rust and Bone (2012), Dheepan (2015), Paris, 13th District (2021), and his latest, Emilia Pérez (2024), winning the prize in 2015. His first English language film, 2018’s The Sisters Brothers, won the Silver Lion at the Venice International Film Festival.
