About the film:

Ema is a magnetic and impulsive dancer in a reggaeton troupe. Her toxic marriage to choreographer Gastón is beyond repair, following a decision to give up on their adopted child Polo. She sets out on a mission to get him back, not caring who she’ll need to fight, seduce or destroy to make it happen.

About the filmmaker:

Born in Santiago, Pablo Larraín is one of Chile’s foremost directors and a major producer through his production company, Fabula. Ema is the director’s eighth feature film, following successes such as the Academy Award-nominated films No (2012) and Jackie (2016), as well as the Golden Globe-nominated films for Best Foreign Language Film Neruda (2016) and The Club (2015).
