About the film:
The sequel to the Academy Award-winning Dune (2021). Having joined the indigenous Fremen after his family was usurped from power, Paul Atreides uses his developing prescience to come into power as the messianic figure the Fremen have long waited for. Struggling to balance the safety of his family against visions of a holy war in his name, Paul will clash against the powerful Harkkonen family over control of Arrakis, and with it, the production of the spice that fuels their intergalactic economy.

Academy Award-nominee Denis Villeneuve is a French Canadian director and writer who has screened at Sundance, Toronto, Venice, Berlin, and Cannes, among others. In 2019, he was named Director of the Decade by the Hollywood Critics Association, and is best known for Incendies (2010), Prisoners (2013), Sicario (2015), Enemy (2013) — awarded best Canadian film of the year by the Toronto Film Critics Association in 2013 — and his previous sci-fi epics Arrival (2016) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017). Following the Academy Award winning Dune (2021), Villeneuve continues his dream project Dune: Part Two (2024) from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Academy Award-winner Eric Roth based on the beloved novel by Frank Herbert.
