About the filmmaker:
Eddie Alcazar is an American game developer and filmmaker. Unconfined by genre, his multi-technique approach to visual storytelling is an exploration of undiscovered cinematic territories. He coined the term “Meta-Scope” to describe a visionary technique that blends live action and stop-motion. He directed the short films The Vandal (2021) and FUCKKKYOUUU (2016), as well as the feature documentary Tapia (2013), sci-fi thriller Perfect (2018), and Divinity (2023), shot in black-and-white 16mm film. Alcazar was selected as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” in 2011, and his films have garnered acclaim at Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, and other festivals around the world.
