About the filmmaker:
Sean Wang is an Academy Award nominated director from Fremont, California. His latest short, Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó (2023), premiered at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award. Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó (2023) was also nominated for Best Documentary Short film at the 2024 Academy Awards. His debut feature film, Dìdi (2024), premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. It won the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award, Special Jury Prize for Best Ensemble Cast.
