About the film:

After his family is viciously murdered, a kind-hearted boy named Tanjiro Kamado resolves to become a Demon Slayer in hopes of turning his younger sister Nezuko back into a human. Together with his comrades, Zenitsu and Inosuke, along with one of the top-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps, Tengen Uzui, Tanjiro embarks on a mission within the Entertainment District, where they encounter the formidable, high-ranking demons, Daki and Gyutaro.

Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village (2023) is a cinematic experience that includes the exciting finale of the Entertainment District Arc and an advanced screening of the beginning of the Swordsmith Village Arc, featuring the encounter of Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji at their newly assigned dispatch location and Upper Rank Demons assembled at the Infinity Castle.

About the filmmakers:

Haruo Sotozaki is a Japanese animator and film director who has worked in the industry for over twenty-five years. His previous credits includes key animator on Cowboy Bebop: The Movie and episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and animation director on Tales of Zestiria the X and the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. He made his feature directorial debut in 2004 with the anime adaptation of Ninja Nonsense, and in 2020, he directed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train which earned numerous awards including Animation of the Year at the 44th Japan Academy Film Prize.

Story by Demon Slayer writer and creator Koyoharu Gotōge with screenplay and production by Ufotable, the Japanese animation studio responsible for the gorgeously animated God Eater and Fate/stay franchise.
