About the film:

The warrior Deathstalker is tasked by an old witch lady to obtain and unite the three powers of creation – a chalice, an amulet, and a sword – lest the evil magician Munkar get them and use them for nefarious purposes. After obtaining the sword, Deathstalker joins with other travelers going to the Big Tournament to determine the strongest warrior. The false king holds the true princess in captivity, and plots to have Deathstalker killed, and Deathstalker must fight to free the princess.

This reboot of the Roger Corman cult classic of the same name is directed by Steven Kostanski, of Psycho Gorman fame, and produced by Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, who also composed and performed the theme song.

About the filmmaker:

Steven Kostanski is a Canadian filmmaker, visual effects artist, and creature FX wizard known for his bold, genre-blending horror works. A founding member of Astron-6, he gained cult acclaim directing Manborg and co-directed the cosmic horror feature The Void. More recently, he earned wider recognition with Psycho Goreman, a riff on creature sci-fi with heart. Kostanski also works behind the scenes in prosthetics and makeup effects on major projects (e.g. Crimson Peak, It), blending technical mastery with playful imagination.
