A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life with his days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. But when his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctant Wolverine.
About the filmmaker:
Shawn Levy is a Canadian film producer, director, screenwriter, and actor. He got his start working in television, directing episodes of shows like Animorphs, Lassie, and The Famous Jett Jackson. Levy has directed a number of popular family friendly films including Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), The Pink Panther (2006), and Night at the Museum (2006). Recently, he directed the Academy Award nominated film Free Guy (2021) as well as The Adam Project (2022). Levy’s recent work in television has also been notable, directing eight episodes of Netflix’s Stranger Things as well as all four episodes of Netflix’s drama miniseries All the Light We Cannot See based on the novel by Anthony Doerr. Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) marks Levy’s third project with actor Ryan Reynolds, and is his first directorial venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
