About the film:

Directed and produced by Brady Calestro, Joshua Clark, and Mike Kash, Cycle Breakers (2023) is a short documentary film told through the lens of rural biker culture and a strained relationship between father and son. The film reveals stories of addiction, abuse, and trauma, as well as a son’s commitment to breaking the cycle of generational trauma in his family. It is an intimate portrait of an unlikely hero and a representation of masculinity in its virtuous state.

River (2023) is a short film written and directed by Rafal Sokolowski and Kanat Omurbekov. The film is inspired by a real story of a trans woman living in Southeast Ohio who over several years attempted to reconnect with her family. It investigates the so-called “conversion therapy”. The story was developed with the participation of the trans community including Columbus’ Stone Wall.
