In this cult-favorite comedy, unemployed New York City puppeteer Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) reluctantly takes a temp job as a filing clerk for the eccentric Dr. Lester (Orson Bean). While at work, Craig discovers a portal that leads into the mind of renowned actor John Malkovich. When he lets his co-worker Maxine (Catherine Keener) in on the secret, they begin both an unusual business scheme and an odd relationship that involves Craig’s restless wife, Lotte (Cameron Diaz).

Spike Jonze, born Adam Spiegel in 1969, is an American actor, filmmaker, photographer, and musician. Known for his distinct visual style and inventive storytelling, Jonze has directed over 60 music videos, four feature films, and many commercials, short films, and skateboarding videos. He’s also co-created and executive produced MTV’s Jackass and co-founded Directors Label with Michel Gondry and Chris Cunningham.
