After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.
Creed III (2023) is the third installment in the successful franchise and is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut.
About the filmmaker:
Michael B. Jordan is an American actor, director, and producer, who was ranked 15th on The New York Times 2020 list of the 25 greatest actors of the 21st century. He is best known for his film roles in Ryan Coogler’s Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), and Black Panther (2018). He reprised his role of Creed in Creed II (2018), and again in Creed III (2023), which marks his directorial debut. His other film roles include Chronicle (2012), That Awkward Moment (2014), Fantastic Four (2015), and Just Mercy (2019). In 2018, Jordan received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie, as a producer on the television film Fahrenheit 451. His early television career includes roles on the HBO crime drama series The Wire (2002), ABC soap opera All My Children (2003–2006), and NBC sports drama series Friday Night Lights (2009–2011).
