About the film:
Oliver is a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a terrifying creature named Larry uses Oliver’s devices to break into our world, Oliver’s parents must fight to save their son.
He just wants a friend. Will you be Larry’s friend?


About the filmmaker:
Currently a screenwriter in Los Angeles, Jacob Chase grew up acting in musical theater and first developed his storytelling skills by making haunted houses. He is an alum of the 2017 Sundance Episodic Lab and has worked with The Jim Henson Company, Amazon Studios, Bazelevs, Cirque du Soleil, and more.
His 2010 debut feature film The Four-Faced Liar premiered at Slamdance and won the HBO Audience Award for Best First Feature at Outfest. He won the 2016 Crash the Super Bowl contest with his commercial Doritos Dogs which earned him an exclusive directing mentorship under Zack Snyder on the set of Justice League.
