Woody Harrelson stars in the hilarious and heartwarming story of a former minor-league basketball coach who, after a series of missteps, is ordered by the court to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. He soon realizes that despite his doubts, together, this team can go further than they ever imagined.

About the filmmaker:

Bobby Farrelly is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He is one of the Farrelly brothers, alongside his brother Peter, who together are known for directing and producing celebrated quirky and romantic comedies, beginning in 1994 with their debut feature Dumb and Dumber. Their following films include Kingpin (1996), There’s Something About Mary (1998), Me, Myself and Irene (2000), Shallow Hal (2001),¬†and the 2007 remake of The Heartbreak Kid. Since 2016, the brothers have directed episodes of the series The Now and Loudermilk, and Bobby directed four episodes of Canadian cult mockumentary series Trailer Park Boys.

Champions (2023) marks Bobby’s solo feature directorial debut.
