Based on the best-selling children’s books by Dav Pilkey, DreamWorks Animation presents Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017). In the film, overly imaginative pranksters George and Harold hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a superhero named Captain Underpants – a character they created in their own homemade comics! Set in Piqua, Ohio, the adventures of the duo will inspire laughter, spark the imagination, and prove that good will triumph over evil.
According to the American Library Association, the book series were reported as some of the most banned and challenged books in the United States, making the top 10 list six times, most recently in 2018.
