About the filmmaker:

Mercedes Bryce Morgan is a mixed-LatinX, queer filmmaker based in Los Angeles, known for her genre-bending features, narrative music videos, and commercial work. She graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and made her feature directorial debut with Fixation, which premiered at TIFF in 2022. Her follow-up Spoonful of Sugar (2022) premiered on Shudder. Her music videos—including “Happier” by Bastille & Marshmello—have amassed over a billion views globally, and she’s directed episodic series, commercials, and visual albums for top artists and brands.
