Directed by award-winning filmmaker Dawn Porter, Luther: Never Too Much (2024) offers an intimate look into Vandross’s journey from his early days in Harlem to becoming a global music icon.

Featuring rare archival footage and insights from collaborators like Mariah Carey, Dionne Warwick, Valerie Simpson, and Roberta Flack, this documentary celebrates Vandross’s profound impact on the music industry and his enduring legacy.

Dawn Porter is an American documentary filmmaker and founder of production company Trilogy Films. Her documentaries have screened at The Sundance Film Festival and other festivals as well as on HBO, CNN, Netflix, Hulu, PBS and elsewhere.
