The first film in the series, A Quiet Place (2018), garnered 37 wins and 128 nominations, paving the way to A Quiet Place Part II (2020). These first two films follow a family who take immeasurable strides to survive in this world. A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) tells the origin story of the creatures that have taken over the livelihood of all that has breath.
About the filmmaker:
Michael Sarnoski is an American film director and screenwriter who studied art and film at Yale University. He made his feature directorial debut with Pig (2021) from a story he co-wrote with producer Vanessa Block. The two filmmakers previously worked together on Block’s Netflix-acquired documentary The Testimony (2015) which captures the largest rape trial in the history of the Congo and was shortlisted for the 2016 Academy Awards in the best documentary short category. Sarnoski wrote and directed his second feature film A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) from a story he co-wrote with John Krasinski.
