The Spengler family returns to where it all started—the iconic New York City firehouse—to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. About the filmmaker:
Gil Kenan is a British-American filmmaker who received an MFA degree from the UCLA film school in 2002. While at UCLA, he won the school’s Spotlight Award for his short film The Lark (2002). This 10-minute short, which combined live action on digital video with stop-motion animation, helped kick in the door for Kenan. A week before graduating with his master’s, Creative Artists Agency signed him as a client, distributing his short to every producer in town. Since then, Kenan directed the award winning film Monster House (2006), City of Ember (2008), Poltergeist (2015), and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). Kenan is returning to the Ghostbusters franchise with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024).
