In 2016, the film center presented Ghibli at GFC, a four-month screening series of anime giant Studio Ghibli’s films. It was the first time anywhere that the entire Ghibli catalog had been presented in order of release, and visitors travelled to Columbus from as far away as Florida and Iowa to see movies they couldn’t see anywhere else.
Now, the series has returned to the film center, which will run January 1 through February 24, culminating in the world premiere of the newest Ghibli film, The Red Turtle.
Where available, matinees will be presented with English voice acting. Evening shows will be presented in original Japanese with English language subtitles.
Ghibli at GFC is made possible with the support of Puffin Foundation West.
