About the filmmaker:

Jordan Peele is an American actor, comedian and filmmaker. By the mid-2010s, he was known for his film and television work, particularly as a cast member on the Fox sketch comedy series Mad TV and with frequent collaborator Keegan-Michael Key on their own Comedy Central sketch comedy series Key & Peele (2012–2015) and the feature film Keanu (2016).

Peele’s breakout directorial debut, Get Out (2017), established him as an emerging voice in genre filmmaking. The film was released to critical acclaim and was chosen by the National Board of Review, the American Film Institute, and Time magazine as one of the top 10 films of the year. Peele was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Original Screenplay, and Daniel Kaluuya received a nomination for Best Actor. Since then, Peele received another Best Picture nomination for producing Spike Lee’s drama BlacKkKlansman (2018), wrote and directed the feature film Us (2019), and co-wrote and co-produced the remake Candyman (2021), among other projects. Peele founded Monkeypaw Productions in 2012.
